“If it’s not on the menu we will make it.”
-- Billy Diangikes

Billy Diangikes is one of the most respected chefs in the Upstate and recognized for his successful management of some of the finest restaurants to serve communities in both Carolinas.

Billy, his wife, Grier, and Sophie Copses Satterfield, have made it a family affair with their partnership in opening the Four Seasons Restaurant on Fernwood-Glendale Road. Billy and Sophie are cousins working the first time together.
Billy’s skills extend way beyond the kitchen. He has served generations of families through his successful restaurants that have influenced the quality of service, cooking and management of many upscale restaurants that have multiplied in the Upstate.

The Four Seasons Restaurant takes its name from the original Four Seasons Steakhouse owned by Billy and partner Bill Copses for two decades on Pine Street. It was the premier steakhouse in Spartanburg. Stefano’s, Basil’s, Billy D’s West and Costello’s followed as other successful restaurant businesses.

Sophie operates Sophie’s Choice Catering.

Billy is involved in every aspect of his restaurants, from concept and menu to architectural design staff selection and finishing touches.  He is constantly creating fresh ideas and evolving as a chef and restaurateur.

Billy prefers to be in the kitchen, behind the scenes, he says. The Four Seasons Restaurant has an open grill area where customers can watch their food being prepared.

Sophie will manage the front.

Sophie has served dignitaries such as President George W. Bush and former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.
